The nonprofit consultant, under the supervision of the firm’s principal, supports ongoing needs and priorities for a portfolio of clients. The consultant researches, prepares and submits proposals and grant applications to individual donors, foundations, corporations, and governmental entities.

We offer a four-day work week. Remote work position with possible quarterly meetings in our Cleveland, Ohio office. Insurance stipend. Paid time off. Eligible for 401K match after one year of employment.

Responsibilities

·  Prepare and conduct the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals and reports to foundation and corporate sources.

·  Research client information for projects requiring funding, including meeting with or contacting points of contact and project partners.

·  Author case statements, letters of intent, proposals, and reports.

·  Investigate potential funding sources through a variety of printed and electronic sources to match funding focus with projects.

·  Develop and update case statements, letters of intent, and other related materials allowing for prioritization of projects and timely submissions that meet deadlines.

·  Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

 ·  Bachelor's degree in English, Communication, Journalism, Philosophy, Public Policy, or related degree.

·   Five years of related experience in writing grant proposals.

·   A proven record of securing grants with certifiable references.

·   Five years of experience with research, interpreting, and analyzing data.

·   Two+ years of experience with software applications (Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; Google Suite; Adobe Acrobat Professional; Adobe Creative Cloud; Canva), online research databases and screening tools (Foundation Directory Online; WealthEngine; DonorSearch; iWave).
